The events are opened by the great concert “Musical Stigmata” by the Vamos Orchestra which will take place on Saturday 24/6/2023 at 20.30 at the Firka Fortress of Chania and is part of the 2nd Chania Book Festival. The Vamos Orchestra has prepared a musical journey through the times and places where Nikos Kazantzakis lived.

A few words about the musical performance:

Nikos Kazantzakis lived in an era that was stigmatized by important events both geopolitically and in the field of Art. He dedicated himself to writing and trying to get to know as many cultures as possible from which he was inspired.

The Vamos Orchestra organized a musical journey to this era, the era in which Nikos Kazantzakis lived. It is an attempt to introduce a culture that is distant but timeless, because its recipe had very strong foundations and has endured until today.

An introduction to great musical moments that were imprinted in the chronology of our culture.

Greece, France, Germany, Russia, Italy, Spain, countries where Nikos Kazantzakis lived or visited give their credentials through great successes of the time.

Attik, Piaf, Operetta, Arias, Skalkotas, Kurt Weill present in a program of high aesthetics.
