The Pergamos Cultural and Development Association, the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Platanias and the K.E.D.I.P., are co-organizing a concert with the Psarantonis family on the hill of Agios Georgios, in Vryses Kydonias on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. . Psarantonis, Giorgis, Niki and Lampis Xylouris participate!

A celebration of the mountains and their peaks, our history and our culture

The Peaks Adamoma is a proposal to unite the peaks with historical importance in a common network with a single goal: to highlight them as separate geographical, historical and religious monuments of our hinterland.

Source of inspiration and trigger of our vision is of course the peak of Agios Georgios Vryson Kydonias. A special place, the core of an archaeological site, a place of worship in all eras of humanity and a unique geographical position with an unobstructed view and 360 degree supervision around the small church of Agios Georgios. But beyond this peak, there are others equally important that we must recognize and protect. We are here to work towards that goal.

The “Peaks Adamoma ” concert is the 2nd event in the framework of promoting our vision and is, in essence, a call to look again at the mountains that surround us, which, while inaccessible for modern activities, preserve the historical and cultural us tradition.

Important: the hill of Agios Georgios is only accessible by foot (the last 220 meters), on a passable path. It is necessary to wear sports or hiking shoes for the ascent, bring the water you will need with you, and a pillow will help you enjoy the concert better (the particularity of the space does not allow seat availability ).

Entrance to the concert is free, as is the bus for those who choose it, with only an optional participation of €5 to support the effort. However, due to the particularity of the space, RESERVATION OF A SEAT IS NECESSARY.
