Final Traditional Strata, Ending Ceremony of Traditional Strata 2024 , 30th of September
The Municipality of Chania, on the occasion of celebration of the World Tourism Day, presents on Monday, September 30, 2024 the “Final Strata, Closing Ceremony of the traditional Strata 2024″.
This is the culmination of the Traditional Strata, which for three years has been filling our summers with the tradition of our place.
The last Strata for this year will be held with the participation of all Traditional Associations and with the honor of the Cretan Federation of Australia & New Zealand, who traveled to participate in the Traditional Strata of the Municipality of Chania.
The Associations, divided into two large groups, will start from two points (Nautical Museum and “D. Vlisidis” Theater) at 19:30 and will cross the area of the Venetian Port to end up together at Katehaki Square around 20:30.
At this point, the Mayor of Chania, Panagiotis Simandirakis, will honor the 20 Associations that participated in this year’s Traditional Army. There will be dances and songs by the members of the Traditional Clubs, while there will be a buffet with treats for the attendees.

Dance Club of Chania “O Psiloritis”, Traditional Association of Chania “Viglatores”, Educational Cultural Association “O Gigenis”, Traditional Association “Ta Sfakia”, Musical & Dancing Association of Chania “Arodamos”, Traditional Association “To Meterizi”, Cultural Association of Hordaki ” Skloka”, Traditional Association “Stavraetoi”, Cultural Association “To Rodo”, Artistic Association of Chania “Kritikes Madares”, Folklore Dance Club of Chania “To Adamoma”, Federation of clubs and organizations of Rizitikos, Association of Cretan Music of Chania Prefecture “O Harchalis”, Chania Folk Club, Lyceum Club of Greek Women-Branch of Chania , Akrotiri Folk Dance Association “Kayales”, Cretan Federation of Australia & New Zealand.
