Documentary screening “The Visitors” / Zdenka Sokolíčková

The film follows Zdenka, a young anthropologist, who moves with her family to Svalbard, Norway, to study how life in the polar regions is changing. She falls in love with her new place, but discovers that it’s not just icebergs that are disappearing in the Arctic Circle. Her research reveals the impact of globalization, but also underground tensions in a small and diverse community. She only intended to observe it, but now she must decide to what extent she can and is entitled to get involved.
