1980-2025 – 45 Years

The Chania Dance Group “Psiloritis” is organizing the 24th International Cultural Encounter this year and invites you to the great celebration of joy and culture.

During the two-day events, we will showcase the special bands that we invited and that will take us to the most distant countries in the world.

Chania Dance Group “Psiloritis”

The development of culture, the preservation of our tradition and spiritual heritage, as well as cooperation with other peoples, are the main goals of this event. We are given the opportunity to get to know the customs and traditions of other peoples and to celebrate the young men and women who keep our roots alive by strengthening the traditions, friendship and peace of the peoples.

The Cretan music will be accompanied by the excellent musical groups of Elias Choreftakis and Andreas Paterakis.

The Chania Dance Club “Psiloritis” has contributed to the cultural events of our country in its 45 years of existence, has traveled throughout Greece and abroad (Europe, Asia, Africa, America) with young and old dancers with many distinctions and awards at International Festivals. It is a member of the Greek National Section of CIOFF and a member of the International Organization of Folk Art IOV of UNESCO.
